Swell - Piece of cake recipe. Couple of tips: later filling tins with drippings or oil, heat tin in oven until very hot (5-seven mins.), then remove from oven and fill up with batter. I used regular sized muffin tins, and had left over batter. Either fill up 3/4 the way (instead of one-half style) which worked for me, or use a large muffin size tin can. :)

Terrible instructions. Post-obit these will make information technology incommunicable for a successful pudding. Annotation!!!!! HEAT THE OIL/Fatty IN THE PUD TRAY FOR APPROX 10MINS IE And so THE OIL IS SMOKING. Rapidly REMOVE THE TRAY AND Cascade THE Batter. (It SHOULD SPIT IN THE TRAY). NOW Go It Back IN THE OVEN IMMEDIATELY. Do NOT PEAK Half WAY THRU As THE PUDS COULD COLLAPSE. 3/four THRU COOKING LOWER THE TEMPERATURE TO Allow HEKP STOP THE BASE Being SOGGY. Hope this helps. ps unlike others at least you remembered the salt!

Yum, these are good! I dear Yorkshire pudding but this was my beginning time trying to brand it. Turned out very nice. Instead of a 6-muffin tin, I used a 12-muffin can (smaller muffins than the 6-pan) and had concoction to fill 8 of the cups to 3/iv. Besides, I used salary grease and butter instead of beefiness drippings (just enough to cover the bottom of the tins). I noticed the bacon grease was smoking a fleck and then I moved the tray to the heart rack - no problems after that. Followed the other directions exactly with no substitutions. The Yorkies rose to 2x their meridian and were perfectly golden and yummy. Will definitely make again! Some tips: 1) the tray needs to be very very hot! Go on it in the oven for 5-7 min every bit recommended. 2) make the batter and allow it sit for a fleck while the oven preheats. three) fill the tins as chop-chop as possible and pop dorsum in the oven.

I have watched the Martha Stewart special on comcast on demand where she makes yorkies most 10 times (no exaggeration) and I've fabricated them before and learned from my mistakes so I accept some handy tips. First, make sure to mix your batter about one-half hr before baking, then it isn't common cold. 2nd, mix very well, until information technology is polish, and add milk (I used half and one-half) merely until it'south a smooth consistency. I didn't need all of the milk. Third, preheat your muffin tin until it'due south HOT. Add just enough drippings to cover the bottom. I have a very hot oven, so I broiled the yorkies for 10 minutes at 450, then 10 minutes at 350. They rose SKY Loftier, and the texture was perfect. Very light and tasty, complimented my prime rib very well.
09/29/2006
This was a pretty good recipe just needed a bit of tweeking, which is why I gave information technology 4 stars. I found that y'all needed to melt it simply 10 minutes more than at 350 or they got way overdone. If you are using melted butter instead of drippings, I would reccomend omitting the salt. Overall very tasty and easy recipe to follow.

Doubled recipe which made 12.Saved the grease from the roast for gravy. Put one tsp. canola oil into each muffin tin and heated in 450 degree oven for 5 mins. And then quickly poured in batter. Took out 5 mins early on because it was really browning but I should have cooked a picayune longer, there were a few that were a picayune wet. Overall, excellent and tasty. Will use this recipe everytime nosotros accept roast beef. UPDATE: first fourth dimension I take used the drippings from the roast and I tried using the convection setting for the oven and the yorkshires were the highest and the best ever!!! Was it the drippings or the convection method that made and then ascension higher?? Too cooked way faster this style. 18mins or so. Update:cooked them on everyman rack setting, down with eight mins left and nice and crispy!! Thanks, Michele, Cambridge, Ontario

Excellent. I didn't have whatsoever beefiness drippings (I've never cooked a roast big enough to go a whole cup from!) just butter worked just every bit well!
03/thirty/2006
Last year, I rated this recipe v stars b/c of presentation. This twelvemonth, I'm changing information technology to 4 stars. If you prepare this using all the beef drippings, it makes a MESS in your oven. And so, it's best to take a grab try below the muffin pan to take hold of all the over-flowing fluids. I still Love the presentation / taste of this recipe. Withal, I believe the quantities of the ingredients are inaccurate. This recipe needs adjusting to receive the coveted 5-stars.
11/26/2005
I was so excited these came out perfect! I was so afraid they would fall (high altitude) simply these were a success. Dandy with warm honey and butter. Must serve directly from the oven.
01/04/2007
I loved the individual servings. I also heated the drippings in the muffin can before I added the batter. They were perfect. They remained puffy even after they cooled. I will never go dorsum to putting the batter in ane pie plate over again. Excellent recipe.
10/06/2010
it defintly smells good and tasted skilful also, still its too oily.. i don't have beefiness drippings, so i used regular vegetable oil, only its too oily when it washed.. i would suggest place about ane teaspoon of beefiness drippings or vegetables oil into each cup as well, and the second one-half 15 minutes for baking, bascially ... no need to bake that long, until its golden brown, thats good enough.. i love information technology, but too bad... my hubby doesn't similar it..
05/15/2011
this was the verbal ingredients list i was looking for, only i did use my own tried and true blistering method, like others have said, heat the fatty to smoke signal outset and get the batter in the pan asap!
04/29/2011
followed recipe, wasn't crispy and was 'very eggie', was more like an omelette, side by side time possibly il use 1 egg
12/29/2009
Delish and easy to brand. They got very puffy in the oven.
01/02/2010
Never even had (much less cooked) Yorkshire Pudding before but I really liked this! I think it worked the manner it should. Rose squeamish and high. They were dainty and soft simply nonetheless cooked on the inside and nice and brown on the outside. Very easy too. Cooked in a non-stick muffin pan which worked well, no sticking. I did brand sure the batter was cold (made it nigh 2 hours alee) and heated the oil in the wells earlier adding the concoction. The middles did sink, only still had a dainty texture so I don't know if that is supposed to happen or non. Doesn't affair since I actually liked it. Served with "Boneless Garlic and Rosemary Rubbed Prime number Rib with Cherry-red Wine Mushroom Sauce" also on this site - delicious. Volition get a staple.
01/21/2011
Very Very Adept!!!
12/22/2010
Yummy! Good Task!
02/07/2012
These were pretty adept with a pot roast with gravy. I used the drippings from roast to brand. I think next fourth dimension I will utilize two tbls for each large muffin cup. Mine rose upwardly nicely, didnt burn, merely stuck to the pan so they were flat by the time I got them out of the pan. I retrieve spray with pam next time. I cooked as directed. Also, didnt get the over eggy gustation with these like I did with "Popovers for Two" on this site.
12/26/2009
These tasted great-near as skilful as the ones made by friend from Yorkshire! Peradventure information technology'due south only my oven, but I thought that 450°F was a bit too hot. The puddings rose beautifully, but they started to turn black on summit before the initial 15 minutes were upward, so afterward 12 minutes I lowered the temp to 350°F and broiled for just half-dozen or vii more minutes-if I had left them in any longer they would take been completely burned on top. They were still a little "wet" in the eye. As well, be warned: if your oven is not clean, this much rut volition cause a smokey, smelly mess! I had to open the windows and the door to air it out, so just decided to go ahead and run the self-make clean bicycle since the downstairs already smelled of smoke! Finally, I used the extra drippings to make the gravy to serve with the puds, and it was delicious! The leftovers will be wonderful tomorrow morn with jam!
06/30/2006
Oh my gosh! After about 3 or 4 glasses of wine I forgot my dinner and ate 3 of these smothered with more than butter and honey! They were and so good, adjacent time I will endeavor with a niggling cinnamon and sugar for breakfast. And so easy, And then adept and satisfying!!! Thank you so much for sharing this special recipe. I'chiliad going for some other glass of wine and a 'Yorkie"!
06/30/2012
Succulent. I experimented using whole repast flour and although a footling heavier were still gobbled up by the family!
01/10/2010
Turned out nicely. Please remember to go on the door to the oven shut no peeking, or they will driblet. When eating for the best sense of taste pour gravy and meat over the pudding.
03/fifteen/2014
I've been looking for recipe mom used to make.. I've finally found it hither! Dearest it!
12/25/2013
Easy and delicious. I followed the tips of those that reviewed previously (cheers !! ) and it was absolutely piece of cake and delicious. Perfect with the garlic prime rib from this site ( also DELICIOUS) .
04/24/2006
Very, very good. A wonderful accompaniment to prime rib or roast beef. I had only about 1/2 cup of the beef drippings and doubled the recipe, only I did as others suggested and replaced the missing dripping with melted butter. Male child was information technology proficient! Tasted but like the yorkshire pudding'south at the pop prime rib restaraunt chain.
10/30/2014
Can't believe how easy these were! My British friend gave them ii thumbs up which is as proficient every bit it gets for Yorkshires!!
02/23/2014
Reading and post-obit the reviews fabricated this recipe perfect by preheating my oil, making certain my batter was room temp before baking (I had to thin it out with a bit of milk earlier pouring) and filling the cups upwards iii/4 of the way. This recipe made 6 Yorkshire's
04/06/2006
Good Recipe. My husband had these when he spent some fourth dimension in Canada. He said these aren't exactly the aforementioned, but they are shut. Very simple to make.
eleven/07/2009
Loved these! I doubled the recipe...large family unit and I used an ane/8th of a tsp of veg shortening in the bottom of each muffin cup heated it until they were smoking, and so poured the batter in to the elevation line and they rose up so dainty and fluffy. Astonishing! My family gobbled them up.
03/17/2013
This is the mode I've always fabricated them, with just 2 (large, XL) eggs to a cup of milk, not three, and a scant cup of flour. I was surprised when I learned my female parent had been calculation a couple of tablespoons of melted butter to the recipe--I retrieve this decreases the corporeality of ascent. Beef drippings are peachy if you accept them--you could render some from some hamburger that isn't as well lean--I've rarely had a whole cup to use and usually supplement it with butter...or, for the almost role, merely butter, when I really demand popovers/Yorkshire pudding and don't take the drippings. A popover pan is best if you have information technology, or a rectangle to brand it like Yorkshire pudding. Definitely a good thought to briefly heat the pan with the drippings/butter in it (non long for butter or it will burn down). They ascension very high in wonderful shapes, but I love them so much that I similar to have some out when they've but solidified, earlier they rise and eat them similar savory warm buttery pudding--OMG!
01/30/2007
This was so easy to make, and the all-time I have ever tasted!! I did employ a bit of melted butter in each muffin cup (heated for 5 minutes)instead of the drippings, used a 12 loving cup muffin can. Gotta endeavour these, they were awesome!!
05/15/2007
These were a little bit more dense than I'yard used to, but they were pretty good - not as good as my mum's, of form! -but I would make them again. Thanks!
02/fifteen/2007
I've never had yorkshire pudding before trying this recipe. Information technology looks rather impressive afterward cooking the way it rises up over the blistering cups.
12/21/2008
This was my first attempt at Yorkshire Puddings. My DH loved them. Leftovers were great the next morning warmed and topped with strawberry jam. This one is going in my "keepers" recipe box.
ten/12/2009
This Yorkshire Pudding recipe is astonishing. I didn't quite take enough drippings so I added a bit of butter and information technology turned out astonishing. It tasted just similar my mom's. The key is to brand it when the batter is at room temperature and of grade similar anybody's said...heat the drippings kickoff. It turns out perfect everytime. Thank you Grandma.
10/nineteen/2006
Mine didn't puff at all. I must have washed something incorrect. Not at all like I recall they should be.
01/03/2006
I absolutely loved this recipe. The individual servings were neat and they puffed perfectly. I've made yorkshire pudding in a blistering dish for years, but I never will again. I was very, very pleased!
xi/nineteen/2009
Yummy!!
10/23/2009
Incredible! I saw these made on the Nutrient Network and I wanted to try them and then the first identify I came to look for a recipe was here!! My kids and hubby LOVED them!
01/21/2009
Never earlier have I made yorkies that actually 'grew'! These are very tasty albeit not quite every bit light equally my Nana'due south. Still they really peeked out of the pan and that'due south enough for me!
12/12/2006
excellent. my family loved it and they are not easy to delight. next time i will grease the entire muffin pan before blistering.
06/22/2008
I tried this as my usual recipe has caused my puds to be known as Yorkshire Pancakes as they never rise. But these rose a treat. I will definitely utilize this recipe in future. My only reason for non giving five stars is because the instructions don't tell you that you lot absolutely take to heat the oil first. But that aside, this recipe is a keeper.
12/16/2005
I combined MBUENZLI's suggestion with Nicola's and melted a tablespoon of butter in the bottom of each muffin tin in the oven. I filled each three/iv total and ended upward with batter enough for nine. A couple of them vicious, merely they all the same tasted dandy with gravy, and they were extremely piece of cake to make.
01/ten/2006
I made these for Christmas dinner equally a side to Roast Beef. They were splendid.
08/26/2017
Aye first time to brand and swallow Yorkshire pudding. Rated low because of changes. Food allergies....substitute rice milk and gluten gratuitous flour with that said they did non raise high. Hubby still like d them. Well brand over again without substitutes. So that my rating is off-white!
06/01/2020
I've tried many times to make neat Yorkshire Pudding but this is only the best nosotros ever had. Easy and comes out perfect. Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. Corking leftover , even cold!!
07/17/2005
We actually enjoyed this recipe. Very simple.
04/21/2015
Fantastic! As an American I was feeling a trivial pressure to find a great Yorkshire pud recipe. My British husband and his boys loved these! If y'all don't have enough beefiness fat or just want some Yorkshire pud to go with a meal, employ a small corporeality of melted lard instead. Also works a chip better if you preheat the muffin tin. Creates much more than of that "blossom" effect when the batter rises. Do not suggest cooking these in a fan assisted oven as it cooks the outside of the pudding too fast and doesn't permit it ascent as much for that dramatic issue.
01/05/2019
very easy and flavorful. A trivial heavy for our tastes.
06/06/2018
I will definitely make this again...it was succulent! I used the larger muffin can (6 cups) rather than the 12 cup one. The yorkshire raised wonderfully and was calorie-free and fluffy. Other reviews were admittedly right...the can must be smoking hot earlier filling with the pudding mixture. It makes all the departure in how well it turns out. If you lot don't have drippings, attempt substituting butter or shortening mixed with about i tsp of beef soup base (powder). Just melt in the microwave and divide equally you lot would the drippings.
01/01/2016
I added a piffling extra water because it seemed very thick. All-time Yorkshires I have always made and will always use this recipe now!
07/21/2018
No changes, smaller. It'due south just me. Next time, hopefully I volition practise abode made gravy. These were then proficient, I fabricated them two days in a row.
04/xiii/2020
Loved information technology!
12/thirty/2019
Absolutely succulent... made batter and let it sit while prime rib finished cooking- then put drippings in lesser of muffin cups and poured concoction in and baked- bit hit!
07/05/2017
Fantastic! Very easy to follow. I've never made Yorkshire Pudding before and this was so easy and absolutely delicious. I cut everything in half and wanted a larger size, so used a metal pie pan. Guessed how much drippings to use, but it was perfect. Same cook fourth dimension, etc. Give it a try!!
02/twenty/2018
Such an easy and yummy recipe! I like to save o e or two and have them for breakfast the next day!
01/18/2022
I didn't grow up with Yorkshire puddings like my married man did, just he said that these were perfect! These were wonderfully crispy and formed pockets to put our roast beef and gravy inside. I tried a different recipe earlier this ane, but information technology wasn't equally good.
03/27/2016
Fantastic! Cooked 30 minutes since my roast was 6 Pounds. This was and then tasty and a perfect medium rare. I volition never make a roast another way.
ten/25/2006
these are not usually unproblematic to make only I was pleasantly surprised at the success of this recipe..I did, nevertheless, heat up the muffin tins in the oven first...it'southward supposed to assistance them rise!
03/01/2019
This is my original recipe and it never fails. I preheat the muffin tin until extremely hot but I heat the oil and drippings very carefully (uncovered in a glass measuring cup) in the microwave earlier putting in the can. This style I don't accept the risk of smoke while heating the oil in the tin. Works great every time.
01/03/2016
All I desire to say is... DELICIOUS... This was my first time making this, I grew upward on it. If my Mom says its good, its adept. I used oil, but next time its beef drippings. I did preheat oil for 7 minutes. they puffed right up. Who ever said terrible directions, lol... I judge they need to follow directions. This was my showtime time. I added a pic. Give thanks you
05/eleven/2022
This recipe is non just very like shooting fish in a barrel to follow, but tastes very authentic. I did let the concoction sit overnight in the fridge before stirring information technology then using it. They came out perfect and disappeared during the meal.
03/21/2020
I make my Yorkshire Pudding similar a pizza, in a big pan. This version rose 2" out of the pan at the edges, and started to brown at the tiptop before the lower parts were cooked, so I turned off the oven with half-dozen minutes to go and left it cook with the heat off until the bottom finished cooking. I utilise the smaller upper oven which isn't as tall as the lower oven, only information technology should be OK. Cooked, but not burned at the function that rises is the goal. I didn't apply salt because I used bacon grease (and vegetable oil). We don't bake in Tucson in the hot months and so this might exist my last Yorkshire Pudding this twelvemonth.
ten/22/2006
Unfortunately I tried to change this recipe and concluded up with a smoky oven and kitchen. I put i tbsp of bacon grease in the muffin cups (bacon grease is what I ordinarily utilise - but probably 1/2 tbsp less) then put it in the oven to get actually hot earlier putting in the batter. It was really delicious only the grease was all over the oven and I expected the smoke detector to go off at any point. That wouldn't take impressed the guests.
10/27/2015
I heated the fat in the tins in the 450 oven till they were boiling, then put in really well beaten concoction, filling cups 3/4 full. I also fabricated 1 1/2 times the recipe (3 eggs, 1 1/2 loving cup flour etc) and used margerine non beef drippings, only because my beef was on the BBQ. Turned out fantastic. Puffy, gold and delicious.
12/07/2017
Succulent! I added spices to taste and it was lovely. Consider using less oil/grease equally mine had excess and tasted a little greasy on the bottom.
01/07/2021
Improve than Grandma Warners! Bang-up with Beef gravy
ten/xiii/2019
Showtime time ever making Yorkshire pudding. I accept eaten them enough. This was dense and bland. They were stuck to the muffin tins and burnt where it was stuck. Mayhap I demand to lookout some i make them successfully
11/23/2016
Estrus i/2 cup oil in 450 oven for 20 min.in 9x13 pan. Added cut up two large garlic sausages. ,mix up iii eggs then add ane ane/two cup or mor flour , 1 1/ii c milk bake as directed
12/13/2006
kids loved this and the married man wants it for well-nigh meals at present. thanks so much.
01/twenty/2009
Easy to make for a novice like me. Whole family unit enjoyed and wants me to make information technology over again.
12/25/2018
Aforementioned recipe as our family used for sixty+ years. Always works, only if you preheat the pan, and And so oestrus the drippings till smoking. I use bacon grease and this turns out fantastic. I employ a baking pan and not muffin tins. My mom. and grand-ma used the same pan and it's the same one I employ. Its just a cheap tin pan, but my looks scarred, blacken and just plain old. Simply it works. recollect ovens and pans are unlike so pay attention.
